My Story

I completed my PhD in Egyptology in January 2022 at the University of Toronto  where my research focused on heart scarabs and what they can tell us about ancient Egyptian conceptions of morality and the transition into the afterlife.  While my research interests lie overseas, most of my work and illustration experiences lie closer to home.  I have spent seven summers working as a Collections Management Assistant at the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau where I performed many different tasks and projects.  This included illustrating burials and stratigraphy at an archaeological site on Canada's west coast, and illustrating a variety of artifacts from across North America.  I have also created illustrations for my own research and publications.
